Hello!!

I'm hosting a DSLR photography course in Sioux Lookout on Saturday, April 8th from 2pm-5pm. The "CAPTURED Photography Workshop" will cover the basics about DSLR cameras and lenses, the mechanics of creating an image with your camera (say hello to the uber confusing exposure triangle!), and the standard rules of photo composition (which you ARE allowed to break artistically every once in a while!!). There will be a time for teaching, some practice, and question-asking. Oh, and light refreshments and beverages will be provided, as well!

Register online (https://athenamariephotography.regfox.com/captured-photography-workshop), then bring your DSLR camera with you to the Sioux Lookout Heritage Railway Station to participate in this event hosted by Athena Cospito, owner and photographer at Athena Marie Photography. Invest in learning the skill of photography, which will help you capture both the simple and exciting parts of your everyday life, keeping them documented forever.

In other news, a huge thank you to everyone who participated in Christmas Mini Sessions in both York, Pennsylvania and Sioux Lookout, Ontario!! I was so happy to have each one of you participate and am delighted to have heard such positive feed back from so many of you! Keep watching to see the Christmas Minis albums coming in early 2017.

I realize I’ve done a bit of photography while on maternity leave after the birth of our twins (mostly pre-arranged / previously booked photo sessions and weddings), buuuuuuuuut this session with Nelson & Jordyn was my first official photography session since my yearlong maternity leave ended. So it was really fun & special to be asked to capture Jordyn about a month away from her due date with their first child!

Two Week Old Max

Well, I first met precious little Max on his two week old birthday. He was simply adorable and did amazingly well for his first photo session. He achieved the perfect balance of sleeping for photos vs. being awake for photos.
