Kevin & Melenie's Wedding

Back in July, I got to photograph the union of two people who have loved each other for a LONG time.  Kevin & Melenie tied the knot inside a small church in town, surrounded by all their friends & family, which made for a church that was bursting full of people.  After the ceremony, they then proceeded to the local Royal Canadian Legion, which Melenie did a great job decorating to match their wedding colours.  There were lots of laughs among friends, sweet moments between the couple and their family members, and fun had by all who celebrated with Kevin & Melenie.

Enjoy many of my favourites from this couple's wedding day!

Starting things off with some of the bride's details...

Getting ready and some photographs with close family members...

The couple!  Aren't they just dashing?!?  All the heart eyes for these two!

The ceremony...

Melenie's mother walked her down the aisle, and she looks like she couldn't be prouder or happier for her daughter!!

We headed to nearby Cedar Bay for some photos of the family.

And also photographed the bridal party at Cedar Bay.  They were quite a wild and excited bunch, so taking their photos was super entertaining, as I'm sure you'll see if you keep scrolling!!!

As is typical of every wedding, I photograph the bride with each of her bridesmaids.  We do a normal smiling photo, and then I ask them to do a funny photo (or sometimes they ask ME if they can do a funny photo, which I obviously welcome!!).

Here are the smiling photos of the ladies... aren't they all just so beautiful?!?

And now for the guys...

Scroll through the next set to see all the silly photos for the ladies!

And the guys' silly photos involved lots of jumping on each others' backs and some other... uh... creative funny poses!  Scroll through to the right to see more!!

Captured some lovely ones of Kev & Mel there, as well.

And then we headed to the boat dock to get some photos of the couple by the water.  They love fishing (and especially now that they have a new boat!) and Sioux Lookout is surrounded by water, so it was only logical to photograph them on the lake!

These photos just feel better in black & white...

And now for a few photographs from the reception.

This part of the wedding day featured the famous "shoe game" with the bride & groom, an anti-climatic garter toss (after a pretty funny garter grabbing by the groom), a more interesting bouquet toss, a blindfolded "find your groom by his bare legs" game (I had never seen that before, and it was HILARIOUS - plus she NAILED it!), a spinning wheel with tasks to be competed in order to get the newlyweds to kiss, and a candy bar (my favs were the sour gummies, as pictured!).

The tables were decorated with lovely floral arrangements, and the entire venue was decorated with beautiful hues of purple throughout!

There were also so many sweet dances with family & loved ones....

And cake... let's not forget the cake!!  It was beautifully decorated (and tasted DELICIOUS!!)!

Finally, we skipped out of the reception for some more photographs of the newlyweds.  A train in the backdrop was perfect, as Kev is employed through the local railway.

I just love these photos in black & white.  And look how happy they are together!!

Thank you so much, Kev & Mel, for inviting me to be a part of your big day!!  May you have many many many more years of happiness together!!  <3
